ASSAÍ INTEGRITY PROGRAM Assaí has as principle to respect laws and regulations, acting ethically, with integrity and transparency. The CONDUCT THAT UNITES US contributes to the development of a sustainable business environment and a more fair and supportive society. We understand that the Company’s success depends on our reputation and trust established between us, our customers and business partners. Our Integrity Program is supervised by senior management and represents the set of measures developed and implemented, which aims to prevent, detect and correct the occurrence of ethical deviations, such as fraud, corruption, conflict of interest, among other situations, by employees, third party or in relationships with public agents.

Prevention: aims to identify, assess and mitigate the risk of situations to happen, through training, internal controls and communication of the Company’s main guidelines to all internal and external audiences.

Detection: includes, through the monitoring controls and receiving reports through our Ombudsman Channel, mechanisms capable of timely identifying and interrupting events that may occur.

Response: in case of proven identification of any deviation, disciplinary measures are applied and consequences are established, in addition to improving the weaknesses that gave rise to the respective deviation.
Our program must be read and understood together with the Code of Ethics, the Anti-Corruption Policy and other internal regulations that guide activities and establish general guidelines on anti-corruption practices, contributing to be in compliance with existing legislation, in particular the Brazilian Anti-Corruption Law (Law No. 12,846/13) and the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) which are laws applicable to business management. Knowledge and compliance of our guidelines contribute to everyone’s commitment to strengthening the Company’s culture of compliance and integrity. We provide a channel that guarantees the anonymity of whistleblowers. All reports are treated confidentially, ensuring secrecy and non-retaliation to the whistleblower. Our Ombudsman Channel operates from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 8 pm.
